2nd round of consultations with the Advisory Committees

Meetigs of the Advisory Committees (AC) where the preliminary draft of the National straregy for youth (NSY) , as considered, were held on december 27. in Belgdrede in the following groups: first group – AC youth NGOs, international partners and local administrations and second group –AC young representatives of the political parties, medias and business sector.

All the comments were given with the integration, asumeing that this way the report will be concise, and the comments clear for the further integration with the text. The concept of the attendats about this preliminary draft is favourable, with tge following comments, critics and specific sugestions. 

In the opening part the following was discussed: the usage of terms, using terms in both genders, adding abstracts as parts of text, the strategy languages, defining the key organization and mustiness of the certain documents.

The part considering the Vision, principals and the general targets of the NSY was commentated in direction of: turning the attention that some key words are missing, non-existing specifications for the race, political and sexual orientation, also for the disabled persons and disregarding some of the key fields of the activities

In Description and analysis is pointed to: some metodological problems, the need to apply to the vacancy between the education and orientation at the labor market, marginalized  groups, the increase of violence in Serbia, hate crimes, usage of the reports with uncertan sources, inadequate data and vocabulary, bad influce of cults and safety of the youth in Kosovo and Metohija, female organizations and spouse violence.

The part Healthy styles of life and giving the adequate health services requiers:

considerable vocabulary choice, better processing of sexual activities, alcoholism and smoking, even the change of the name to “Health of youth and development”.

In the part Active participation of youth in solving social, personal and generational problems the annotation was bought out, the significance of the youth organizations is not high enough.

The part Life chances of all the groups of youth and the risks of the social non-envolvement and inequality demands: adding the national and sexual minorities, recognition of the generational vacancy, the issue of the prostitution and people trafficing, and more care about young parents.

In Aims and precautions it was councludet that: there are no expenitures and budget, the relation between the government and the key organization of youth, it is needed to define the mechanisms for the lead the strategy along its way, examine the legal border of existement of an office of youth at the local and national levels, and that is neccessery that some terms need further explenations.
